A New Era of Marketing, Pioneered by Generative AI

AI is transforming every industry—and marketing is no exception. VCAT AI Corporation, for instance, has developed a tool that enables companies to effortlessly promote their products in line with the latest trends. In May, the company also exhibited at SusHi Tech Tokyo 2025. We sat down with Okada Kaori, Business Development Manager at VCAT AI, to talk about the company's business expansion in Tokyo.

Generative AI can be used to produce various marketing assets.

Automatically Generating Marketing Assets with AI

"There's rapidly growing demand for easier and faster ways to produce product images and videos for online shopping websites and ads. VCAT.AI is an AI-powered service that automatically generates marketing assets for you, and all it needs is the product URL."

Al transforms product page URL into marketing assets automatically.

This allows for the instant creation of banners and other materials in multiple sizes and layouts, meaning companies can begin selling their products in online marketplaces and shopping websites whenever they want, and immediately promote discounts or sales. The speed and convenience translate directly into cost savings.

The benefits are enormous for companies operating globally as well, and VCAT AI already serves over 100,000 corporate clients.

"A lot of companies have detailed advertising guidelines for the fonts, colors, and other visual elements to be used in their ad images. One client with an extensive overseas presence had been struggling because they had a regional subbranch producing ads that didn't fit their guidelines. After considering various measures, they decided to adopt VCAT.AI."

In this way, VCAT AI helps safeguard a company's brand image—an important factor in global expansion.

Realistic Video Production Without the Need for Filming

The company also excels at producing original videos. Their CREAGEN LAB service utilizes generative AI to produce video content without the need for filming, allowing companies to enjoy more creative freedom while also supporting corporate AI adoption. The service enables the production of visuals that would be difficult to achieve in real life.

"For instance, for a promotional video for a moisturizing haircare product, we produced a scene of a long-haired woman standing in a desert. Our in-house designers fine-tuned various elements, like camera angles, lenses, climate, and lighting, to achieve a high-quality result that the client was very happy with."

As a result of the video being produced entirely through text prompts in generative AI, without the need to go on location in the desert or hire a model, the client was able to save considerable time and money. It also helps avoid rights-related issues that can arise when working with real models.

There is also complete freedom in designing product backgrounds.

AI relies heavily on the prompts it receives from people. VCAT AI is meeting this challenge head-on, with the eventual goal of enabling companies to produce content internally.

"More companies are interested in AI, but many struggle to use it effectively. We want to harness the capabilities of AI to help them deliver messages that are aligned with their brand strategies."

In May, Asia's largest innovation conference, SusHi Tech Tokyo 2025, was held at Tokyo Big Sight. There, VCAT AI was able to connect with numerous companies, including those running major online marketplaces, interested in AI services for the automated production of marketing assets.

"Our AI-powered services are best understood by seeing the video content and production process firsthand, rather than having them explained through words—which is why we think our showing at the conference will drive future business."

Cutting-edge technologies are steadily becoming a part of our everyday lives, and VCAT AI is one of the companies bridging that transition.

Tokyo Offers Robust Startup Support

We asked Okada for her perspective on what Tokyo means to startups.

"With events like SusHi Tech Tokyo 2025, I think Tokyo is a city that is wide open to new companies. There are lots of business opportunities and robust support, making it a good environment for startups. It's a city that helps startups overcome their obstacles, whether it be building recognition or social credibility."

With the firm product-market-fit signals from SusHi Tech Tokyo 2025, VCAT AI is expected to use Tokyo as a base to develop new business areas in the Japanese market, and expand the adoption of their AI services across a wide range of sectors.
